also do you guys have similar thing for Michell ondemand or not.

A: Yeah, HDD is loaded with program; it contains three software: Mitchell, alldata 10.10, alldata _3_24. The total memory is about 250GB. As for the installation disk, there is no need, the installation steps are included in HDD, the steps can not be more clear, but if you can not setup by yourself, we send you installation steps.

Michell ondemand5 is contained in 09mitchell file folder.

You cannot get the OBD II codes without using a code reader or a scan tool (scanner)! And after you get the codes, what do you do with them? See ALLDATA for complete information!

Reply: DIS Diagnostic Device and SSS V32 Diagnostic Device both run with DOS system.
1) To run DIS Diagnostic Device, it works automatically.
2) To run SSS V32 Diagnostic Device,
A) Open IBM T30, then wait for a while, until IBM T30 screen shows “Boot” words: see the photo

B) Press “space” key. Or any key of “up” “down” “left” “right” is ok!
C) Input “bootos”+ "space” key+ “3”, then press “enter” key.

D) Then the following screen appears.

E) Then the IBM T30 screen becomes black, then white, until the following screen appears. Now it is ready to run SSS32 Diagnostic Device

Note: sometimes IBM T30 will restart, if it will, repeat the above-mentioned steps.

SSS Program
A: Hello, I am trying to install sss progman v32 on a PC but I receive a hardware error shortly at the beginning of the installation. Can somebody point me in the right direction? I am just guessing that some configuration in the bios is not ok. Anyway, my PC in an Athlon XP 2400+ with s3 trio vid card. Everything else in onboard.

B: Necessary to crack HWVer.dll. Are you trying to install on IBM laptop or just a normal Desktop? Don’t forget to replace HWver.dll again in windows/system32 after installing winxp base.

A: With the replace of that file now it's working. I have never thought that this solution could work. Although, I had another problem but it's ok for now. I had to replace my hard drive because it was only 40G to a bigger one.
I am still receiving an error... When the installation is finished, and the PC has dopped the DVD from the drive the computer is not responding. I mean the mouse and the keyboard is working but the installation is stopped. See the picture below. Tell me what do you think. PS. I installed SSS a couple of days ago on another PC with no problems. This one is making me crazy.

You need to change the startup manager in registry.

PS100 EOBDII/CAN OBDII Scanner

Question: PS100 scanner deosn't power up as it should, when plugged in to a computer with the usb cable the menu appears, But when plugged in to a car using the obd plug the screen lights up but no menu as shown in the pics.

Answer:
this error may be caused by the following two reasons:
Reason one: PS100 scanner is a handheld scanner, no need connect with the computer

Reason two: have to firstly turn on the Ignition Switch, then plug ps100 into the obd socket to test. Some car's models supply not enough voltage, if you firstly connect PS100 scanner then to turn on the Ignition Switch, it will cause your car supply not enough voltage temporarily, so PS100 scanner display screen will display abnormaly, which will broken PS100 scanner.

Conclusion: If you operate ps100 scanner as I mention above, I suggest you chang a another car, maybe PS100 scanner will not work with this car model.

Well, i'm from Egypt, shipping cost from China to Egypt about 50$ and from Egypt to China 110$, i don't know why.

When i received the BDM100, it was not working, When i plug the device into the USB port of the PC, the PC sees the device as CLONE and it does not work at all. Also the driver was not working.

I check with someone there her name is Nancy, she sent me another version of the software but it was the same problem. So she said you can send us the device to your account and we can fix it and send it back to your account this means i will pay 160$ to have this TOY fixed, however there should be something like guarantee for 1 year as they said. The price for BDM is 90$ can you imagine that i paid 50$ for shipping from China to Egypt then i should pay 160$ to have another toy, meaning 210$!!!!

I told her this is not a professional way, give me the contact of your manager, she told me some bad words and i decided to scandalize them everywhere.

If you look in some forums many people have had problems with BDM100 interface. You must use only version dimsport or mpcprog version 1241.
The newest version like 1255a have a killcode and when connect the interface, the mpcprog reprogram the eeproms inside then the interface don't work anymore.
The interface tell you clone!
You need only 2 files for reprogram the eproms inside.
That’s all and BDM100 work again.

Q:I know nothing about OBD, but am interested in getting a device to read codes, between me and my brother. I came across this what do you think? Or would any of you lot have an idea what to buy for not much money?

A:Question is - what You want to read. If only something (fault codes only)from engine management system - You can do that with this tool. If You want to read something from other systems - like ABS, Airbag etc. - that tool can't do this. Tool seems good, but I would prefer one with USB lead.For which car You suppose to use it?

A:For 2003 and newer cars you can use the scan tool you found (elm 327 based i guess). It is limited to engine and a little bit transmission, but can read and clear fault codes for that, but that is true for all cheap universal scanners.For elm based obdII tools there are alot of good pc-software like scanmaster, scanxl, digimoto... I don't know if the android app is good, too. If you want to read codes from other systems (abs, airbag...) then you need other tools, but the universal ones are expensive (launch x431, autoboss...). A good cheap universal tool seems to be the autel maxidiag 70x (obdII and abs/airbag for many cars 'til 2008).

A: Warning, bluetooth interface make many problems (we had diskussion on DK). Better for you is classic cable interface. Latest version ELM327 is v1.4a and work very fine. KKL interface is some limited in ecu scaning. For your scan, read, and clear fault code, is better ELM327v.1.4a. Bay only USB inetface becaus modern laptop havan't rs232.

A: What you need is ECU reflashing software, not super VAG K+CAN 4.8. Usually, I will recommend you KWP2000 Plus and Galetto 1260, but before I confirm weather any one of the two tools can work with your cars, we have to know what is your vehicles’ ECU type, because to use KWP2000 Plus and Galetto 1260 is according to users’ vehicles ECU type.

But KWP2000 Plus and Galetto 1260 do not increase horse power, KWP2000 Plus and Galetto 1260 is only programming tool, what they do is to read out the program from ecu, after reading out the ecu program, the users can do modification or ask ecu engineer from Germany to help modify, then to use KWP2000 Plus and Galetto 1260 to read the modified program into ecu.

Then what tool can be used to increase horse power for VW/Audi, it is Power RevoFlash 3 from uobd2.com, in the software, it contains well-done ecu program, after the user find out the related car model, then write the program into the ecu, that’s ok now.

OP-COM 2009 customer question:

Question: Just bought an opcom and it won’t talk to any cars ive tried. It's apparently the latest software version (1.39?) & the sticker on the back reads 090820B.
It's the one thats already cracked & doesent need activation, The test inerface says its ok. I've tried it on a 95 Astra & a 02 Corsa (both with no known faults) & get the same results, It wont comunicate with any ECU on the car either by doing the automatic selection or by selecting the cars manually. The power light comes on & the Tx light comes on but i've never seen th Rx light on.
Any help welcome.

Answer: For simple test put at 7 pin led , which is connected to ground from another side . You can see is your interface K line working .

Answer: Astra `95 works only with k-line. Don`t use can!
k-line don`t show all ecu place
Please test interface with newest car > 2004 year with can.
If You can use - all is ok
Try to reinstall the driver m8.

Question: I've tried re installing the drivers loads of times but still getting the same.Surley this should work on a 95 astra & an 02 corsa. I dont have any other cars to try on at the moment.

Answer: go to setings in main menu and select version c to update firmware
then click interface teste

Admin answer: OPCOM can not work with 95 Astra, because it is not 16-pin connector.

A friend of mine is looking into buying some professional diagnostic kits to help out the dad in the garage. He had a few sales reps around and tried out a few in the market: A "Launch X-431", a "Delphi" PDA type thing which was shit, and a "Wurth diagnostic system" (which consisted of PC based software "Wurth Online World: WOW" and a Bluetooth OBD transceiver "snooper box" which seemed a bit like old technology tbh)
The best he found out the lot was the wurth wow and the Launch X-431. He found that both could do pretty much all the tasks that he needed to do (program new key codes, airbags etc). However, the Launch X-431 costs over 3k euros and subscriptions of 690 a year. Similarly the Wurth kit costs 1.5k euros and 700 a year subscriptions.

Now, for me to help him out, I was wondering, which device would you recommend? Is there a cheaper alternative? i.e. are there chinese clones for the two devices hardware and/or cr*cked software that could do the same job for cheaper?

I have searched the forums and found c*acked updates for the Launch x431, but could find very little on the Wurth. I was hoping that maybe I could use a generic OBD bluetooth transceiver and some cr*cked WOW PC software? I would be pretty good at flashing firmware and working with HEX images, that sort of thing, so that wouldnt be an issue.

M8 there is no one professional tool out there and with all things in life you get what you pay for so basicly what does he want to do with the tool and what brand!!!.....clear faults....Launch all the way..... I wouldnt look at the Wurth but if he wants indepth programming he needs to phone the bank manager!!!!!!!! in a nut shell we need more info on what exactly he wants to do but I have a launch and work on every car under the sun (exept american cars) and the Launch almost (french cars) never lets me down I find it very strong on euros

In my view, don't go throwing £****.** on a universal machine, 10 year ago, Yes these tools were really the only option. However, today and from here on, Manufacturer specific software / hardware, is the way to go, they offer way more than any universal tool. Does this mean universal tools are no-good anymore?? NO, they are still necessary, But maybe, a few cheap universal machines (pulling codes & Resets)and a few OEM machines, ( programming & Adaptions ).But Once you have pulled codes from the vehicles, we still have to know, what to do next.Most of these will log unrelated fault codes because they share circuts / hardware, or just a victim of the real fault.

My most used tool is my Scope, it fits 99.9% of cars,
but cant turn off a single mil lamp.......

If you are doing mostly OBD work I would get a Ruggedized laptop and start building it with an obd interface and just keep adding programs. Over here in the US we have no subaru coverage and I use the 2 major "all in one" scanners and the software has more holes than swiss cheese. Not a good 2000 dollar investment I expected way more than what I got.

it is a "general purpose" scope, not auto only, very fast, with recorder, (which is very handy).

You need to know what you need the scantool for? do you work on all make and models? What i would do is figure which one i work on the most and buy the factory scantool. Then i would get a uni scantool like OTC or the Snapon and go from there.

I was spoken to Polish legal dealer of Launch. There are no difference between Launch product.
I would like to have both (Launch and Autoboss), because there are come difference especially in French car.

Carman lite is the best, then Launch X431 master, then Autoboss V30, then MST-1 (AD-1 updation). Do not consider C168 ( it can not be updated)

i have launch x431, carman 1, bosch kts 570, vag com and an old snap on brick.
i had auto boss on loan for a month but much preferred launch for coverage. but at the end of the day all scanners have their own strengths and weaknesses.
most all use the same software for all of their products, so if you have launch diagun, master or x431, they still use the same software & retain all the same capabilites.
but overall I prefer launch for its large range, however, bosch is very good and never doesnt do a car that it says it will do.

They have same function,comprehensive diagnsotic tools,no need to connect laptop,test many cars.

Autoboss v30 have good choice on Europen cars.

I think X431 master is better. Launch master is better. Because until now, I still can't print from launch diagun using hp laset jet 1102.dn't you know why?
Because Diagun works just with an HP printer and with one of dedicated printer made by Launch.Master is better in this case because it has his printer, that's right.

Activate software. Under the file “LEXIA3_KEYGEN”, there are the activation pictures for lexia3 and the file “PP2000_KEYGEN” contains the activation pictures for PP2000.
It needs registered code for PP2000, but no registered code for lexia3, as for the registered code.

Hardware and software requirements
Software requires at least Intel Celeron/Pentium III 400 MHz, 128 MB RAM, 50MB free HDD space and USB 1.1 port (USB 2.0 recommended) and Microsoft Windows 98 SR2/2000/XP with the latest service pack installed.

Many car manufacturers recommend replacing the brake pads on your car whenever the lining has worn out down to 1/8-inches or less. You can actually remove the tire and wheel assembly and measure the lining on the brake pad using a rule. However, here are some other important facts about brake pads that will help you determine when to replace and inspect them to keep yourself safe on the road.

Indicator
The sound the brakes make when applied is another way to tell it is time for new pads. Brake pads come equipped with a pad wear sensor. This small metal tab rubs against the brake rotor when the friction pad wears out too thin, usually about 1/8-inches from its mounting outboard. The sensor will emit a loud squeal, letting you know is time to replace the pads.

Inspection
Waiting for the wear pad sensor to squeal may damage the brake rotor if the brake pads are not replaced soon afterwards. Most vehicle owners drive within the city in moderate traffic, which means they should inspect their brake pads for wear at least every 12,000 miles or 12 months of driving. However, if you drive mostly in heavy traffic, with frequent stops, you should check for pad wear every nine months or sooner.

Function
Every time you apply the brakes on your vehicle when driving, you wear the lining on the brake pads. As you depress the brake pedal, you are actually operating the master cylinder and brake booster. The master cylinder contains a set of pistons that builds pressure on the brake fluid. The booster helps multiply this pressure on the fluid inside the brake lines. The lines transmit this pressure to the brake caliper and pads on the wheel assemblies. As the caliper pushes the brake pads against the rotor, the friction produced allows the pads to slow or stop the vehicle.

Types
Brake pads are made of friction lining riveted or glued to a steel plate. The lining itself may be organic material or semi-metallic filler. Brake pads containing semi-metallic material are highly resistant to heat, which make them very useful on fleet vehicles used on delivery routs that require very frequent stops. These newer types of brake pads are replacing lining pads made of asbestos.

Warning
This is a good reason to take precautions when replacing brake pads on your vehicle. Make sure not to breathe the brake lining dust surrounding the wheel and hub assemblies if you do not know what type of lining was used on these particular pads. According to James E. Duffy in Modern Automotive Technology, older brake pads are made of asbestos, which is known to cause cancer if inhaled in large quantities. Clean as much friction dust from the assemblies using brake parts cleaner and shop towels before proceeding to change the pads.

How to fix a misfiring car?

There are a few things to do to when trying to diagnose a misfire. All vehicles are different, but there are a few places to start.
1)If possible use an OBDII scanner on newer vehicles. The misfire counter function can help you determine which cylinder is behaving badly. Clearly this is not an option for all people and vehicles though.

Note)Even without engine scanners you can identify which cylinder is causing a dead misfire. Carefully disconnect one spark plug at a time. If the cylinder you are disconnecting is operating properly you will hear a change in RPM. If the cylinder you disabled is the bad cylinder you will see no change in engine behavior.

2)Check your ignition system. There are several steps to this.

A)Remove spark plugs and check to see if the electrodes look worn down or contaminated. Check your spark plug gap with a plug gapper to see if the electrode has worn down.

B)Use a multimeter to check your spark plug wire resistance. They should read roughly between 2,000 - 12,000 Ohms. What you are really looking for is an open circuit in one of the wires. Bend the wires around and see if you lose continuity.

C)Check cap and Rotor. Look for carbon tracking or extremely worn down rotor.

D)On newer vehicles with distributeless ignition systems coils are prone to failure. If you know which cylinder is misfiring try swapping that cylinder's ignition coil with another cylinder and see if the misfire moves with it.

3)If you know your ignition system is operating properly you may want to check compression. You may already have the spark plugs out from your ignition check so it only takes a minute to check engine compression.

4)Fuel injection Service - The motorvac service works miracles. It is available at most repair facillities. Adding a can of fuel injector cleaner to your fuel tank is not ecnough to clean out a severely plugged injector. The motorvac solvent is much more potent and should only be used with a fuel injection cleaning machine. It is a good place to check with a hard to find misfire.

5)Vacuum leaks - A vacuum leak will cause a misfire. If the leak is near a certain cylinder that cylinder will misfire. You can try to find a leak by spraying down the engine carefully with carb cleaner. If you spray the location of the leak the RPMs will rise. You can also inject the intake manifold with smoke from a smoke machine and look to see if it leaks out anywhere it is not supposed to.

A: Hello, I am trying to install sss progman v32 on a PC but I receive a hardware error shortly at the beginning of the installation. Can somebody point me in the right direction? In my view, don’t go throwing £****.** on a universal machine, 10 year ago, Yes these tools were really the only option. However, today and from here on, Manufacturer specific software / hardware, is the way to go, they offer way more than any universal tool. Does this mean universal tools are no-good anymore?? NO, they are still necessary, But maybe, a few cheap universal machines (pulling codes & Resets)and a few OEM machines, ( programming & Adaptions ).But Once you have pulled codes from the vehicles, we still have to know, what to do next.Most of these will log unrelated fault codes because they share circuts / hardware, or just a victim of the real fault.

My most used tool is my Scope, it fits 99.9% of cars,
but cant turn off a single mil lamp.......

Q: How to use the newest software? What should i pay attention when i use it?

A: There are SATA and IDE format HDD, and T30 HDD with the 11/2010 software. No matter which format you buy from our website, when you install the software on your computer, you should pay attention:

1.Plug out the HDD of your computer, and then insert our HDD with newest software.

    Note: Your computer should have just only one HDD, it is our HDD. It is the basic and most important point.

    Eerro: If you don't plug your HDD from the computer, and connect our HDD with the computer by USB, it mean your computer has two HDDs at the same time, the software on the HDD would be sure to be damaged by your wrong operation, and you can not use it any more.

2.When all ready, start your computer, then the software will be automatically installed, don't move it, just wait. During the DAS installtion, your computer will restart few times, just like reinstalling your computer system. It will last nearly 15-20 minutes.

Note: During the installation, make sure of enough power of your computer, don't let it power off. Or it also will damage the software.

3.When you see the Diagnostic screen, there are DAS, Xentry, and so on, it means that the installation has finished.

Note: Don't try to change the HDD to a mobile HDD, and connect with your computer by USB. It can not work normally, and will also damage the software.

Q:What is the difference for the installation between the newest software 11/2010 version and the nomal C3 software?

How do I know I need to replace brake pads?

The good answer is that a mechanic needs to inspect them and see how much of the pad is left. How often this needs to be done depends on the mileage since replacement,
the type of driving that you do (city/highway), how you drive and possibly the weight of your vehicle. On a big heavy SUV driven in city traffic by an aggressive driver the pads
could wear out in less than 20,000 miles. On the other hand a compact pickup driven exclusively on the highway in a reasonable fashion could go 50,000 miles on a set of pads.
The bad (for you) answer is you will hear the bare pad backing plates grinding on the roters. This is bad because it probably means the roters will have to be replaced as well
as the pads, making the job much more expensive.

Minor edit: some pads have a "wear indicator" or squeaker. This is a thin piece of sheet metal that will contact the rotor when the pads are pretty worn out. If you hear a high
-pitched squeak (only when braking) or an intermittent squeak-squeak-squeak when driving at low speed, this indicator is telling you that your brakes need to be looked at. There
is usually a groove in the center of the pad - if this groove is worn through (like the treads missing on tennis shoes), then replace them. Or, if they are less than 25% of
original thickness, I'd recommend replacement since they are not expensive. On a passenger car, the driver's side front brake (usually the outboard pad) receives the most wear,
by far.

When shopping for a scantool, be sure to find out if it supports just the legislated parameters or if it also includes the enhanced (sometimes called proprietary) diagnostic.

Each year new vehicle models are released or existing models revised from vehicle manufacturers. In order to fully support the new vehicles, a scan tool must typically be upgraded. Check what upgrades will cost before committing to a tool.

When setup Mercedes Benz star c3, you maybe come across such fault "Error during initializing, no link could be established between the diagnosis gateway and the control unit" as the following shows.

I give you a solution that is to check whether you set right COM Port. If you buy star C3 from uobd2.com, please set the COM Port as follows.

First step: right click "my computer", and then click "Properties".

Step 2: Under the "System Properties", first click "Hardware"and then click "Device Manager".

Carman lite is the best, then Launch X431 master, then Autoboss V30, then MST-1 (AD-1 updation). Do not consider C168 ( it can not be updated)

1. Customs & Import Tax

The customs value writing on the invoice is the import duty that customs charge from you customers, the customs value depends on your country's tariff policy. Normally we declare the customs value with our experience, unless you want to declare with your own requirement.

2. Who will be responsible for the import duty?

Import duty is what your country customs will charge you when your package passes through your country customs. It's always buyer's responsibilities to clear customs and pay the relevant custom duties. So dear customer, your package import duty will be responsible by importer yourself, we are not responsible for the import duty, because we have no idea about your importing country's tariff policy and can not confirm the customs cost.

Eobd2.com doesn't add the import duty in our product price or our shipping cost.

3 How much we should declare for the invoice?

Our shipping options include Regular Mail and Express Service. So the amount of customs will be different.

●For package shipped by Singapore Post (please refer to our Shipment Policy), usually the value will be marked with 10USD or gift, that will not cause any problems in customer clearance, but it depends on your country tariff policy. If you have any questions on the parcel of customer clearance, please contact our customer service.
If the item value is large, and your countries customs is very strict, please tell us what you want to describe about the item name, and how we declared the value, if you are Brazilian, please tell us your CPF number.

●For package shipped by Express Service, such as DHL, UPS, EMS, TNT. The amount of import duty will be charged differently because of the difference of your importing country’s tariff policy.

DHL upgraded policy about declared value:

1. According to the regulation of DHL, the customs declared value should be not less than 80USD, otherwise DHL company will not delivery the package, or some documents will be provided to DHL, which will bring us much inconvenience, therefore, we have to declare the value up to 80USD. Please you get this note.

In order to resist the too-low declared value; the Customs regulate some customs clearance policy. If your package declared value is too low, you will be fined or your package will be returned to us. At the same time you as package receiver will be blacklisted in the Customs and DHL.

2. If you sign for the package with your personal name, we will be required by DHL Company to provide the trade documents between us.

UPS and EMS:

So far, UPS and EMS haven’t upgraded their customs clearance policy as DHL Company required.
Our suggestion: we provide a regular mail (Singapore Post), if you do not can’t wait for your package, we recommend you Singapore Post, the delivery time of Singapore Post is usually 7-18 days, but will charge less import value.

4. What will we do for customer when package encounter customs clearance problem?

When you encounter customs clearance issues, we will supply you the shipping invoice which you have to supply to customs. At the same time, we also will contact China DHL to help you deal with such situation.

5. If you’re Ecuador customers please notice:

According to the new Ecuador customs clearance regulations, the following contents must be included in the commercial invoice that we provide to DHL Company:

1. Shipper LOGO printed at the top left corner
2. Signature, seal of Company/Firm
3. Invoice number, correct number of f items, shipping date
4. Full receiver contact information: address, contact name, phone number
5. Country of origin, product brand name, the full description of goods (name, function, ingredients)
6. Item number.

In order to successfully clear your package, please leave us your contact information: address, contact name, phone number when you ordered in our website. Otherwise your package may will be detained for up 8 days, so be fined 130usd per package. Hope you understand.
